Display Devices

A display device is an output device for presentation of information in visual when the input information is supplied as an electrical signal, the display is called an electronic display.

A light-emitting diode (LED) television is basically a liquid crystal display (LCD) television that produces light through LEDs rather than compact fluorescent lamps. Selecting an LED television depends on what you are seeking in your television. Manufacturers display and compare the specs of LED television brands online and in stores. These specs include the display features, including the aspect and contrast ratio; connections, whether they provide connections for 3D or HDTV; and additional features, such as size.

Display

One of the things to consider is display specs of the LED television. This includes the aspect ratio, refresh rate, and contrast ratio. The contrast ratio refers to the highest difference between white and black a television can display. The higher the contrast, theoretically, the more desirable the television. The ratio can vary from 10,000,000 to 1 to about 1,000 to 1. The aspect ratio refers to the width of the image in relation to its height. The aspect ratio for the typical 55-inch television is 16 to 9. A high ratio is useful if you like the movie theater experience, the width of the screen being much wider than the height, like the panoramic format of movies. The refresh rate refers to how many times per second the television can render a frame. This varies from about 60 Hz to 240 Hz. Generally, the higher the rate, the more smoothly the television will be able to generate moving pictures.

Connections

Connections refer to your LED television's ability to hook up to other devices. For you to receive HDTV, you'll need an LED television that's HDMI compatible. Some of the optional connection specs for LED televisions include an Ethernet port to connect to the Internet or a memory card that lest you upload your photos and view them on the television. The standard LED television has cable connections for the composite and component inputs, which are used to connect gaming devices; a PC input for the computer, and a USB port.

Features

Most LED televisions contain optional or standard features that add to the specs of that particular television. Some televisions are capable of 3D viewing or have local dimming, which allows you to illuminate the screen in bright areas and keep it dark in others. The other specs, such as the size of the screen, panel thickness and base thickness depend on the size of the television

Benifits of Led Lights

1
Long Life

Long life time stands out as the number one benefit of LED lights. LED bulbs and diodes have an outstanding operational life time expectation of up to 100.000 hours.

2
Energy Efficiency

Todays most efficient way of illumination and lighting, with an estimated energy efficiency of 80%-90% when compared to traditional lighting and conventional light bulbs.

3
Environmentally Friendly

Eco friendly, mercury free and don’t emit UV radiation. White LED bulbs produce light than approximate natural sunlight Which is less straining on the eyes when working for a long period of time. The LED light spectrum does not contain heat producing ultraviolet and infrared rays.

4
Low-Voltage

The benefit of LED Lights is that they are an eco-friendly form of lighting as they do not contain mercury or other harmful gasses or emit any harmful UV rays. For example, a 13w LED light emits 68% less CO2 than a standard 40w incandescent bulb running 10 hours per day.
